Game Day Hub: Portland vs. Houston

On Tuesday against the Brooklyn Nets, point guard Damian Lillard became just the second player in franchise history to record five straight games of at least 30 points to tie Geoff Petrie’s streak during the 1970-71 season. He is also the only NBA player this season to achieve the feat. Against the Nets and Jazz earlier this week, Lillard’s backcourt running mate CJ McCollum achieved the first back-to-back 30-point performances of his career. Through 57 games this season, Lillard and McCollum have combined to average 46.2 points per game for the third-best mark among teammates in the league.

During the win streak, the Trail Blazers have outscored their opponents by an NBA-best 13.3 points per game. The team’s 114.7 points per game in that span is the third best average in the league. Lillard (33.3), McCollum (22.8), Maurice Harkless (12.7) and Gerald Henderson (11.8) are all averaging double figures since the run began on February 6.

Thursday’s is broadcast nationally on TNT, while the audio call can be found on Rip City Radio 620 or via the Trail Blazers app. Tip-off is set for 7:30 pm.
