Power Rankings: Trail Blazers Moving Up With Two Weeks To Go

Between the Trail Blazers posting an 11-3 record so far in the month of March and there being just over two weeks left in the regular season, it seems like a good time to check in on the weekly NBA Power Rankings. Portland hasn’t spent much time in the upper part of the rankings this season for obvious reasons, but with a late-season surge powered by improved play and an easier schedule, they’re making steady progress moving up the charts. Here’s how the Portland Trail Blazers faired in the most recent Power Rankings…• Marc Stein of ESPN has the Trail Blazers at No. 10 this week, three spots better than last week…

Stein has the Trail Blazers behind the Thunder at No. 9 and ahead of the Bucks at No. 11.• Jon Schuhmann of NBA.com has the Trail Blazers at No. 12 this week, unchanged from last week…

Schuhmann has the Trail Blazers behind the Clippers at No. 11 and ahead of the Nuggets at No. 13.• Jeremy Woo of SI.com has the Trail Blazers (it’s two words guys) at No. 14 this week, one spot better than last week…

Woo has the Trail Blazers behind the Clippers at No. 13 and ahead of the Nuggets at No. 15.

• David Aldridge of NBA.com and TNT evidently isn’t very impressed with what the Trail Blazers have done recently, as he does not list Portland in his Top 15 power rankings. By the way, Aldridge is working the sideline for Portland's game versus Houston on Thursday at the Moda Center. • Matt Moore of CBSSports.com has the Trail Blazers at No. 9 this week, five spots better than last week…

• Kurt Helin of NBCSports.com has the Trail Blazers at No. 13 this week, two spots better than last week…

• Brett Pollakoff of FoxSports.com, in rankings posted March 24, has the Trail Blazers at No. 13 this week, five spots better than last week…

• Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report, in rankings post on March 24, has the Trail Blazers at No. 14 this week, four spots better than last week…

Buckley has the Trail Blazers behind the Bucks at No. 13 and ahead of the Grizzlies at No. 15.
