Devin Harris apparently will return for a third stint with the Mavs, who traded him to the Nuggets in February ahead of the trade deadline.

Free agent point guard Devin Harris has agreed to sign a one-year deal with the Dallas Mavericks, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.

Harris, 35, has played nine of his 14 NBA seasons with the Mavericks, who were looking for point guard depth once Yogi Ferrell decided to sign with the Sacramento Kings.

A fan favorite in Dallas, Harris averaged 8.4 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists last season while with the Denver Nuggets and Mavs.

Harris figures to serve as a mentor Dennis Smith Jr. and rookies Jalen Brunson and Luka Doncic.
