Reports: San Antonio Spurs agree to deal with Dante Cunningham

After a brief run in the Eastern Conference last season, forward Dante Cunningham is reportedly headed back out West.

The San Antonio Spurs have reached an agreement on a one-year deal with Cunningham, according to multiple reports. The Spurs have been active in their frontcourt dealings this summer, as Danny Green opted into his deal and Rudy Gay and David Bertans re-signed. They also reached a reported deal with youngster Bryn Forbes, who will be back for 2018-19 and beyond.

Here’s more from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on the Spurs’ latest move:

Cunningham, 31, gives the Spurs depth at small forward in the aftermath of the franchise’s declining to match forward Kyle Anderson’s four-year, $37 million offer sheet with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Cunningham spent parts of last season with New Orleans and Brooklyn. In nine NBA seasons, Cunningham has had stops with Portland, Charlotte, New Orleans, Memphis, Minnesota and Brooklyn. He has averaged 6.1 points and 3.8 rebounds in his career.
