Furkan Korkmaz scored 19 points to help the Philadelphia 76ers overcome a late rally by the Milwaukee Bucks for a 91-89 victory in a Las Vegas Summer League second-round playoff game at Thomas and Mack Center on Saturday.

Trailing 89-87, Korkmaz’s traditional three-point play with three seconds remaining put the 76ers ahead for good. Korkmaz was fouled on a six-footer by Milwaukee’s Sterling Brown and calmly sank the free throw as part of an 11-1 Philadelphia run over the final minute.

The 76ers’ last stand erased a big Bucks rally over nearly eight minutes of the fourth quarter. Trailing 71-61 with 8:52 to play, the Bucks went on a 27-9 run, including scoring 15 consecutive points in one stretch, to take their largest lead of the second half, 88-80, with 1:05 remaining.

The loss wasted a big night for Christian Wood, who totaled 27 points on 10-of-15 shooting, 12 rebounds and five blocks for Milwaukee (2-3). Brown finished with 15 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Trae Bell Haynes led the bench with 13 points, while Tim Quarterman had 12 points.

Jonah Bolden finished with 13 points and eight rebounds for Philadelphia (2-3). Isaiah Miles added 12 points, and first-round pick Zhaire Smith totaled eight points and five rebounds.

The 76ers advance to take on the winner of Saturday night’s Memphis Grizzlies-Utah Jazz matchup in the quarterfinals.
