This year’s NBA Awards Presented by Kia on TNT — airing Monday, June 25, at 9 p.m. ET, live from Barker Hanger in Los Angeles — will incorporate fan voting across a number of categories including Best Style, Dunk of the Year, Block of the Year, Clutch Shot of the Year, Assist of the Year and Handle of the Year. Beginning today, fans can pick their favorites through voting across NBA.com, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
This season’s Dunk of the Year, Block of the Year, Clutch Shot of the Year, Assist of the Year and Handle of the Year will be unveiled during TNT’s coverage of this year’s NBA Western Conference Finals, with the five category winners serving as finalists for the Play of the Year, which will also be determined by fan voting. The Play of the Year winner will then be announced on June 25 during the NBA Awards Presented by Kia on TNT, along with the winner for Best Style.
Fan-voted awards will be announced in addition to all of the NBA’s traditional end-of-season awards including Kia NBA Most Valuable Player, Kia NBA Rookie of the Year, Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year, Kia NBA Sixth Man Award, Kia NBA Most Improved Player, NBA Coach of the Year, NBA Basketball Executive of the Year, NBA Sportsmanship Award, Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award and the Season long NBA Cares Community Assist Award presented by Kaiser Permanente.
In addition to NBA.com, fans can vote on social media by posting #AwardName and First/Last Name of their winner (i.e. #DunkOfTheYear Larry Nance). Finalists for the fan-voted categories include:
