Practicing in both frontcourt spots
Stewart increased the volume and efficiency of his three-point shot towards the end of the 2021-22 campaign, allowing the Pistons to utilize the 21-year-old's floor stretching capabilities to see more minutes at the power forward position this season. Considering the team's massive frontcourt depth, Stewarts' positional flexibility should help him carve out a consistent role this season.

Status with Detroit remains unclear
Walker and the Pistons reportedly reached a buyout agreement at the end of June, but apparently the point guard didn't accept the offer after realizing he wouldn't have many free-agent offers this offseason, per Kyle Cohen. While Walker is technically still with the team, it appears like neither side intends for it to stay that way for long. Per Edwards, Detroit will need to waive or trade a player by Oct. 16 to be at the league limit for standard roster spots going into the regular season.

Limited to start camp
Noel was forced to miss most of the 2021-22 season due to knee and foot issues, and it appears he's still in the process of working his way back to full health after he was traded from the Knicks to the Pistons during the offseason. Once Noel is fully recovered, he figures to provide frontcourt depth for the Pistons in 2022-23 behind starter Marvin Bagley and Isaiah Stewart.
