Officially questionable Wednesday

It was reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic earlier in the day Tuesday that the team is optimistic Edwards will return from a two-game absence Wednesday, so his status may lead slightly on the probable side of questionable. Either way, it will be worth monitoring how his status evolves over the next 24 hours. The Timberwolves are also on the verge of getting superstar Karl-Anthony Towns (calf) back as well, though that could theoretically downgrade Edwards' usage a bit.

Questionable Wednesday

Nowell looked good over 20 minutes in his return from nearly a month-long absence Monday, but it looks like he could be hit with a maintenance day Wednesday. He'll test himself at shootaround, but with Anthony Edwards (ankle) and Karl-Anthony Towns (calf) potentially set to return for Wednesday's game, Nowell's minutes and shot attempts figure to start dwindling.

Officially questionable

The Timberwolves have expressed optimism that Towns could return to the starting lineup Wednesday, but his official availability likely won't be known until closer to the 8:00 p.m. ET tipoff. If Towns is cleared, he'll presumably operate under a minutes restriction after missing nearly three months with a right calf strain. Before the injury, Town averaged 21.4 points, 8.5 rebounds and 5.3 assists with 51/33/90 shooting splits across his first 20 appearances of the season.
