What We Learned From #SunsVsBucks

The Suns won both meetings against the Bucks last season, and brought a two-game winning streak in the series (including 13 of the last 16 meetings) into Monday's game.

However, the result would, unfortunately, be different for Phoenix this time.

Thanks to a wild three-pointer by the Bucks' Khris Middleton with no time remaining, Milwaukee stole one from the Suns in Phoenix, 96-94.

Here are the things that stood out from #SunsVsBucks:

3. Isaiah Thomas' fourth quarter heroics

On a night where the Suns' bench struggled from the floor, Isaiah Thomas was absolutely on fire in the fourth quarter.

In fact, Thomas scored 11 of his 20 points in the fourth including an 11-0 run of his own that put the Suns up by double-digits.

Thomas was a huge spark for the Suns in the quarter scoring 11 of the team's 22 total points.

It was Thomas' seventh game of the season with at least 20 points.

2. A wild and crazy finish

In a game in which the Bucks did not lead until 3:23 remaining in the fourth quarter, six of the game’s nine lead changes came in the final minute (all nine came in the final 3:23).

That is to say, the Suns and Bucks made six consecutive baskets in the final 41 seconds of the game.

Gerald Green hit a three-pointer to put the Suns up by two with 41 seconds left, which was followed by a Jared Dudley three on the other end that put Milwaukee up by one. Markieff Morris then hit a powerful layup to put the Suns up again by one, and then Brandon Knight answered with a running jumper of his own to give Milwaukee the lead.

Keef subsequently hit a beautiful jumper with just over three seconds remaining that put the Suns up by one. Then, a Khris Middleton running three-pointer bounced off the rim and backboard multiple times to give the Bucks a 96-94 lead with no time left on the clock.

It was the second buzzer-beating three-pointer that beat the Suns in a week.

A remarkable ending for the Bucks, and a heart-breaking one for the Suns.

1. Markieff Morris' strong, clutch play

Markieff Morris scored a game-high 25 points (9-of-13 from the floor) to lead the Suns, including two go-ahead buckets in the game’s final 24 seconds.

For Keef, it was his second game of the season with at least 25 points and his seventh with at least 20 points.

He also finished with seven rebounds and three assists in 36 minutes of action.
