Lakers’ center Timofey Mozgov will miss Wednesday night’s game against the Hawks (7:30 ET, NBA League Pass) due to facial injuries suffered in a loss Tuesday at Indiana.
According to Baxter Holmes of ESPN.com, Mozgov took an elbow to the face against the Pacers and received four stitches to repair a laceration in his mouth. A CT scan was performed Wednesday in Atlanta to determine if he suffered an orbital fracture after being poked in the left eye. The Lakers are still awaiting results.
Mozgov finished with six points and five rebounds in about 19 minutes against the Pacers as the Lakers fell to 1-3.
