NEW YORK – Portland Trail Blazers forward Robert Covington has been fined $15,000 for throwing his facemask at a game official, it was announced today by Byron Spruell, President, League Operations.
The incident, for which Covington was assessed a technical foul and ejected, occurred with 49 seconds remaining in the second quarter of the Trail Blazers’ 125-121 loss to the Sacramento Kings on Nov. 24 at Golden 1 Center.
