Magic land first-round pick swap from Suns

The Magic dealt three future second-round picks to Suns for the right to an unprotected first-round pick swap in 2026.

The Orlando Magic have acquired the unprotected swap rights to a 2026 first round draft pick from Phoenix or Washington in exchange for three future second round draft picks – the 2024 pick from Denver, the 2026 least-favorable pick between Orlando, Milwaukee or Detroit (via the L.A. Clippers) and 2028 pick from Boston (protected 31-45), President of Basketball Operations Jeff Weltman announced today.

During the next seven NBA drafts (2024-30), Orlando has eight first round picks and 12 second round picks.

Magic receive: 

  • Unprotected swap rights to 2026 first-round pick (from Suns or Wizards)

Suns receive: 

  • 2024 second-round pick (via Nuggets)
  • 2026 second-round pick (via Clippers)
  • 2028 second-round pick (protected No. 31-45)
