Per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the deal is a 3-year, $39 million extension.
How we got here: Anthony has carved out a steady role with the Magic since being selected 15th overall in the 2020 NBA Draft. The 22-year-old point guard averaged 13.0 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists over 60 games last season. He averaged a career-high 16.3 points and 5.7 assists during the 2021-22 season.
Alongside reigning Kia Rookie of the Year Paolo Banchero and versatile forward Franz Wagner, Anthony and the Magic are a popular pick to have a breakout season after missing the playoffs in 2022-23.
This contract extension confirms Orlando’s commitment to Anthony as a key part of their young core.
