Jazz sign veteran guard Kris Dunn to multi-year deal

Former lottery pick signs with Utah after two 10-day contracts.

Kris Dunn has emerged as a solid playmaker for the Jazz this season.

The Utah Jazz have signed veteran guard Kris Dunn to a multi-year deal. Dunn has appeared in nine games with the Jazz this season, averaging 11.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.6 steals in 22.2 minutes per game.

In his seventh NBA season, he owns career averages of 8.3 points, 4.2 assists, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game in 254 games (129 starts) with Minnesota (2016-17), Chicago (2017-20), Atlanta (2020-21), Portland (2021-22) and Utah (2022-23).

Dunn was signed by the Jazz on Feb. 22, roughly two weeks after the team dealt then-starting point guard Mike Conley to the Timberwolves as a part of a three-team trade. Since joining Utah, Dunn has scored 11 points in seven of his nine games and notched five or more assists in five games as well.

The former No. 5 overall pick of the 2016 draft, Dunn is a part of a Jazz backcourt that includes Collin Sexton, Talen Horton-Tucker and Jordan Clarkson.
