Golden State Warriors guard Shaun Livingston ejected after making contact with official
NBA Twitter and media reports
Warriors backup point guard Shaun Livingston was ejected in the second quarter of Golden State’s 123-95 victory over the Miami Heat for making contact with an official.
Upset for what he viewed as a no-call on a 13-foot jumper with 6:24 left in the half, Livingston approached referee Courtney Kirkland on the baseline and, while stating his case, brushed foreheads with Kirkland. It wasn’t clear who initied contact.
In a statement to a pool reporter explaining what occurred, Kirkland said: “The reason that Shaun Livingston was ejected was for making physical contact with me. It was only one technical foul, and he was ejected immediately. That’s basically it.”

The ejection was the second of Livingston’s career. The other was in Game 4 of the 2016 Western Conference semifinals against the Trail Blazers in Portland.
