The 2021-22 Denver Nuggets City Edition uniform feature elements spanning several of the franchise’s eras, from its ABA origins to its scrappy ’90s teams and high-powered 2000s squads.

In honor of the NBA’s 75th season, the jerseys are a tribute to the franchise’s mile-high moments: 

• The shorts are a throwback to the Nuggets’ formative years with the original Maxie the Miner mascot on the belt. The digitized rainbow pattern and Rocky Mountain landscape have distinctively symbolized Nuggets basketball for the past three decades.
• The typography across the front and on the shorts is reminiscent of the Alex English years throughout the ’80s, and served as Dikembe Mutombo’s introduction to the franchise in the early ’90s. 
• The bordering along the jersey and waistband pay tribute to the Mutombo-led ’94 team, responsible for one of the most improbable upsets in NBA playoff history.
