Game Recap: Bucks 83, Spurs 75

LAS VEGAS — The Milwaukee Bucks bounced back after losing a fourth-quarter lead with a dominant overtime performance to defeat the San Antonio Spurs, 83-75, in a Las Vegas Summer League consolation game at Cox Pavilion on Thursday evening.

The Bucks (2-2) rode a strong first half to a 46-38 halftime advantage, and they entered the final quarter with a five-point lead. However, the Spurs (1-3) clawed back in the fourth, sending the game into overtime deadlocked at 75. Their heroics ended there, however, as they were shut out by an 8-0 margin in the extra quarter.

Milwaukee was markedly better from distance, posting a 42.3 percent success rate from behind the arc while limiting San Antonio to a 25.0 percent figure. However, the Spurs drained 76.9 percent of their 13 attempts from the charity stripe, while the Bucks made just 28.6 percent of their free throws.

Jaron Blossomgame led the Spurs with 19 points on 50.0 percent shooting and added nine rebounds, one assist and two blocks. Olivier Hanlan followed with 18 points, complementing them with four rebounds, two assists and one steal. London Perrantes paced the second unit with eight points and also supplied three assists, one rebound and two blocks. Lonnie Walker IV mustered five points but also hauled in nine rebounds and dished out three assists.

Christian Wood paced the Bucks with 26 points, 15 rebounds and one block. D.J. Wilson poured in 19 points and also recorded 10 boards, one assist and one steal. Sterling Brown managed 13 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals. Travis Trice II delivered 10 points, seven assists, two rebounds and one steal. Jordan Barnett led the Milwaukee second unit with seven points and also registered five rebounds, two assists and two blocks.
