April 26

Al Ahly (92) vs. CFV-Beira (74) 

In the first game of Nile Conference play, Al Ahly forward Anunwa Omot produced 21 points for the winning squad, a 92-74 victory over CFV-Beira. Will Perry (18) and Bourama Sidibe (17) were the top scorers in CFV-Beira’s debut.


April 27

Cape Town Tigers (75) vs. SLAC Warriors (68)

Evans Ganapamo and Josh Hall led the Cape Town Tigers with 15 points apiece as they beat the SLAC Warriors 75-68 on Thursday. Zaire Wade contributed nine points, five rebounds and five assists for the Tigers in the win. Dane Miller put up 20 points and 12 rebounds in the losing effort.

Petro de Luanda (89) vs. City Oilers (71)

Abou Gakou led a balanced scoring attack for Petro de Luanda in their 89-71 win over the Uganda City Oilers. Four players scored in double digits, including Damian Hollis who had 11 points and 10 rebounds. Falando Jones notched 22 points, five rebounds and three assists for the City Oilers in their loss.


April 29

Petro de Luanda (101) vs. CFV-Beira (76) 

Carlos Morais led the way for Petro de Luanda, scoring 18 points and adding 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Damian Hollis, Abou Gakou and Lukeny Goncalves each scored in double figures, contributing to the winning effort. Najeal Young put up 17 points for CFV-Beira. Petro de Luanda moves to 2-0 in the Nile Conference and CFV-Beira falls to 0-2.

Al Ahly (72) vs. City Oilers (70)

Nuni Omot starred for Al Ahly again in its close win over the City Oilers, putting up 17 points and grabbing seven boards. The City Oilers mounted a furious comeback in the 4th quarter where they outscored Al Ahly 34-11. Germaine Roebuck Jr. led the comeback attempt, putting up 28 points with 14 of those coming in the 4th quarter. Al Ahly moves to 2-0 and the City Oilers drop to 0-2. 


Apr. 30

SLAC Warriors (97) vs. CFV-Beira (109) 

CFV-Beira earned their first win of Nile Conference Play with their 109-97 victory against the SLAC Warriors on Sunday. Will Perry had a dominant game for CFV-Beira, dropping a whopping 41 points while chipping in seven assists. SLAC members Uchenna Iroegbu (29) and Dane Anthony Miller Jr. (30) also produced big numbers in the loss.

Petro de Luanda (87) vs. Cape Town Tigers (48)

With their 87-48 win against the Cape Town Tigers, Petro de Luanda continues their undefeated record (3-0) in Nile Conference play. Five Petro de Luanda players produced double-digit numbers while Cape Town was led by a sole double-digit scorer in Joshua Hall. The loss brings them their record to 1-1.


May 2

SLAC Warriors (96) vs. City Oilers (68)

Kicking off the week for the BAL, the SLAC Warriors gained their first win of conference play with a 96-68 victory vs. City Oilers. Uchenna Iroegbu dropped 22 points for the victors, followed by Dane Anthony Miller Jr. (20). The highest scorer from Tuesday’s matchup was City Oilers’ James Justice Jr. (30) despite the loss, and the City Oilers drop to 0-3.

Al Ahly (91) vs. Cape Town Tigers (75)

Al Ahly kept their winning streak (3-0) going on Tuesday with a 91-75 victory over the Cape Town Tigers. Anunwa Omot shined again for Al Ahly, stuffing the stat sheet with 28 points, six rebounds and three assists. Cape Town’s Evans Ganapamo did not trail far behind, putting up 26 points for the Tigers.


May 3

SLAC Warriors (78) vs. Petro de Luanda (95)

Petro de Luanda is now 4-0 in conference play with their 95-78 win against the SLAC Warriors. Dane Anthony Miller Jr (24 pts) and Emeka Nwabuzor (23 pts) had stellar performances for SLAC. However, Petro de Luanda came out on top with a massive contribution off the bench for Ater James Majok with 15 points and seven rebounds.

CFV-Beira (82) vs. Cape Town Tigers (76)

CFV-Beira secures their second straight win in conference play with their 82-76 win over the Cape Town Tigers on Wednesday. Najeal Young put together a strong effort for CFV-Beira with 26 points and 13 rebounds. Zaire Wade had 17 points for Cape Town in the loss. CFV-Beira is now 2-2 in the Nile conference, and the Cape Town Tigers fall to 1-3.


May 5 

Petro de Luanda (91) vs. Al Ahly (90)

Two undefeated squads went head to head to round out the week, but only one remained victorious: Petro de Luanda. The game was decided by a tip-in by Lukeny Goncalves as the final buzzer sounded – an exhilarating ending between two of the conference most dominating teams. The loss brings Al Ahly’s record to 3-1, and Petro de Luanda’s winning streak to 5-0.

CFV-Beira (75) vs. City Oilers (96)

There were a slew of top performers in City Oilers’ 96-75 win over CFV-Beira. James Justice Jr. (25), Falando Jones (24) and Germaine Roebuck Jr. (23) led the way for the City Oilers, but Najeal Young (CFV-Beira) exceeded all scorers in the matchup with 29 points. However, it was not enough for CFV-Beira, as they drop to 2-3 in conference play.


May 6

City Oilers (70) vs. Cape Town Tigers (80)

The Cape Town Tigers came out on top in their final game of Nile Conference play, outscoring the City Oilers by 10 in an 80-70 victory. The Tigers were led by Samkelo Cele (28 points, 8 rebounds) and were closely followed by City Oilers’ Falando Jones (27 points, 8 rebounds). However, it was not enough to pull out the win, and the Oilers fall to a 1-4 record.

Al Ahly (80) vs. SLAC Warriors (70)

In a parallel score to Sunday’s earlier game, Al Ahly prevailed against the SLAC Warriors with a final score of 80-70. Omar Oraby carried Al Ahly to victory with 20 points with the support of teammate Ehab Amin totaling 16 behind him. The win brings the group’s record to 4-1 while SLAC mirrors at 1-4.
