Anfernee Simons has successful surgery on right thumb

Simons is expected to miss 6 weeks after the procedure to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament.

PORTLAND, Ore. – Trail Blazers guard Anfernee Simons underwent successful right thumb surgery today to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament. The injury was sustained October 25th at the LA Clippers. 

The surgery was performed by Steven S. Shin, MD at the Cedars Sinai/Kerlan-Jobe Surgery Center in Los Angeles, CA. 

A full recovery is expected with a return to play timeline of approximately six weeks.
