BROOKLYN — The Brooklyn Nets today unveiled plans for the franchise's 60th season campaign, presented by Ticketmaster, a yearlong celebration honoring six decades of basketball, culture and reinvention. Throughout the 2026-27 season, the Nets will honor the players, teams, and milestones that have defined the franchise while creating new moments that will shape its future.
For 60 seasons, the Nets have continually evolved - from their trailblazing roots in the American Basketball Association (ABA) to the newest chapter being written at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Along the way, the franchise has challenged convention, embraced change, and built a legacy defined by innovation and transformation - just like the borough the team now calls home. The 60th season honors the iconic players and defining moments that shaped the Nets while bringing that legacy to life through storytelling, player and alumni appearances, immersive fan experiences, cultural programming and community initiatives that connect generations of fans and continue the franchise's legacy in Brooklyn.
"The story of the Nets has always been one of reinvention," said Becky Kimbro, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment. "As we celebrate 60 seasons, we are honoring the players, milestones and fans who brought us here while recognizing how that history continues to shape our future. Whether fans have been following the Nets since the ABA days or are experiencing their first game at Barclays Center, this season is an opportunity to celebrate our shared legacy, the culture of Brooklyn and the future we are building together."
To commemorate the franchise's 60th season, the Nets will introduce a special anniversary logo inspired by the organization's journey through New Jersey, New York and Brooklyn. The logo blends visual elements from the franchise's past with the return of the iconic red, white and blue color palette, reintroducing the colors that have been part of the Nets' identity since the franchise's ABA origins. The campaign launched with a short brand film that captures the energy, passion and defining spirit of Nets basketball, setting the stage for the season ahead.
Anchoring the 60th season celebration is Eras Nights, a six-game series that will transform game day at Barclays Center into different chapters of Nets history. Each night will feature era-inspired entertainment, in-arena activations, alumni appearances and immersive fan experiences that celebrate the iconic players, defining moments and milestones of the era.
The six Eras Nights include:
- ABA Night (Nov. 18 vs. Chicago Bulls): Celebrating the franchise’s roots, ABA Night will honor the championship teams, innovations and the Julius Erving-led era that helped establish the Nets as one of basketball's most forward-thinking organizations.
- 80s Night (Dec. 18 vs. Orlando Magic): Honoring the franchise's move to New Jersey and the emergence of homegrown stars such as Buck Williams, this night celebrates a pivotal era that strengthened the Nets' identity and laid the foundation for future success.
- 90s Night (Jan. 9 vs. Houston Rockets): Honoring one of the most influential eras in franchise history, 90s Night will celebrate the players and moments that defined the decade, including Dražen Petrović's lasting legacy and influence on the global game.
- Swamp Dragons Night, presented by Ticketmaster (Jan. 29 vs. LA Clippers): One of the most memorable "what ifs" in basketball history will come to life as fans celebrate the unforgettable identity that “almost was”.
- 2000s Night, presented by Ticketmaster (March 15 vs. Indiana Pacers): Celebrating the franchise's most successful era on the court, 2000s Night honors the back-to-back Eastern Conference Champion teams and the players who helped elevate the Nets onto the national stage.
- Hello Brooklyn Night (March 31 vs. Cleveland Cavaliers): Marking the franchise's arrival in Brooklyn, Hello Brooklyn Night celebrates the return of major professional sports to the borough after a 55-year absence and the arrival of the Nets in the place that is the truest expression of the team.
Fans can collect a piece of Nets history at each Eras Night through era-inspired giveaways, including Julius Erving, Buck Williams, Dražen Petrović and Swamp Dragons bobbleheads; an Eastern Conference Finals mystery box featuring bobbleheads of the 2000s-era Nets; and a mystery giveaway celebrating the Hello Brooklyn era.
The 60th season will also spotlight communities and culture that define Brooklyn through Nets Unite, the organization's season-long platform that celebrates the borough's diversity in partnership with local organizations, artists and performers. Throughout the season, the Nets will celebrate AAPI Night, Noche Latina, Black History Month, Pride Night, Chinese New Year, Caribbean Carnival, HBCU Homecoming and Women's Impact, with each celebration brought to life through authentic storytelling, immersive in-arena experiences and community partnerships that make Barclays Center an extension of Brooklyn.
The anniversary celebration will extend beyond game day through Nets Fest, a free, family-friendly fan festival that builds on the success of the Nets' signature Practice in the Park community event by bringing fans closer to the team through player and alumni interactions, basketball experiences, live entertainment and community programming rooted in Brooklyn. Nets Fest reflects the organization's ongoing commitment to growing the game in Brooklyn. Together with Brooklyn Basketball, the joint youth basketball initiative of the Brooklyn Nets and the New York Liberty, and year-round community initiatives, the Nets continue to invest in opportunities that expand access to the game, empower young people, strengthen local communities and inspire the next generation of Nets fans.
Additional details, including promotional giveaways, special guests, and anniversary programming, will be announced throughout the 2026-27 season, and additional information can be found here: https://nba.com/nets/60.
