Brooklyn Nets and New York Islanders Players to Exchange Team Jerseys in Pregame Ceremony

Symbolic Moment to Commemorate Teams Reuniting at Barclays Center for 2015-16 Season

BROOKLYN – During a pre-game ceremony minutes before tip-off of the Brooklyn Nets vs. Milwaukee Bucks game tonight, players from the Nets and New York Islanders will meet at center court to exchange team jerseys in commemoration of the Islanders moving to Brooklyn next season.

Nets players Mason Plumlee, Mirza Teletovic, Bojan Bogdanovic, Cory Jefferson and Markel Brown will join Islanders players Nick Leddy, Brock Nelson, Anders Lee, Thomas Hickey, Matt Martin and Casey Cizikas. Each Nets jersey will include the last name and number of an Islanders player, and each Islanders jersey will have a Nets player’s name and number.

From 1972 to 1977, the Nets and Islanders shared a home at Nassau Coliseum on Long Island. Starting for the 2015-16 season, the teams will be reunited when the Islanders make Barclays Center their new home.
