NBA Player Props & Picks

Markelle Fultz, Over 15.5 Points (-110)

Spread Magic -8.5

If there has been one player who has revived his career and is playing great basketball right now, it is Magic guard Markelle Fultz. On the season, Fultz is averaging a career-high 14.2 points per game and 51.5% field goal percentage. Over the last five games, Fultz is playing even better as he is averaging 16 points per game and shooting 59.7% from the field.

The Magic will face the Cavaliers on consecutive nights, and I am expecting Fultz to pick up right where he left off last night. In the game on Wednesday night, Fultz scored 23 points on 11-of-17 shooting for the Magic. Additionally, Fultz has scored 23+ points in two of the last three games.

Fultz has had a heavy workload recently as he is averaging 30.1 minutes per game over his last five games. I expect another big performance tonight from Fultz, so take the over on his points prop at 15.5 points.

Pick: Markelle Fultz Over 15.5 Points

Shai-Gilgeous Alexander, Over 33.5 Points (-111)

Spread Thunder -6.5

The Utah Jazz and the Oklahoma City Thunder will square off tonight in a pivotal matchup with Western Conference standings implications. I’m expecting All-Star point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to rise to the occasion.

SGA has been a thorn in the side of the Utah Jazz in two matchups against them as he has scored 38 and 39 points respectively. Additionally, over his last five games, Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 33.6 points on 51% shooting from the field.

On the season, the Utah Jazz are allowing the sixth-most points to the point guard position. In a big game tonight with playoff implications, I am expecting the Thunder All-Star to have a big night scoring the ball and am taking his point total over 33.5.
