Comerica Bank Women’s Business Awards February 2023 Honorees

The Comerica Bank Woman of Business is Roslyn Dahl. Roslyn began her career in public accounting at Ernst and Young in Australia before moving to the United States 25 years ago. Since then, Roslyn has become the Executive Vice President, Deputy Group Director for a Real Estate investment trust, and currently serves as an executive board member and co-chair of the land use committee for the San Fernando Valley Industry and Commerce Association. Roslyn is known for her integrity and work ethic, in addition to her passion in creating diversity and helping college students grow and develop within the business.

The Comerica Bank Woman of Promise is Kayla SingerKayla began her career in merger and acquisition evaluation and strategic value consulting for Fortune 500 companies. Kayla spent time working with start-up companies on development and strategy. Since then, Kayla has taken on multiple roles at different technology and consulting firms and has now transitioned to starting her own company, Luna CX. Additionally, Kayla serves as a board advisory member of USC Marshall Partners, the premier giving society that raises funds for the USC Marshall School of Business and USC Marshall Alumni Association.

The Comerica Bank Woman of Philanthropy is Elizabeth Yang. Elizabeth is a six-time published author and the founder of Yang Law Offices, which has office locations in Los Angeles, Monterey Park, Irvine, and Beverly Hills. Yang is extremely active in her legal community; she is the former President of the Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association, the Asian Business Association, and the National Association for Asian American Professionals. She is now the current Vice President of the Asian Youth Center and actively volunteers at numerous organizations in Southern California.

The Comerica Bank Woman of Entrepreneurship is Valerie Ramirez. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Valerie opened her first dance studio at 17 years old called The Lab. Since then, Valerie has transformed her company into The Lab Studios, a creative headquarters that represents and invests in top-level talent within brand partnerships, content creation, and live entertainment projects around the world. Valerie is known for her entrepreneurial spirit, where she is quick-thinking and solution focused in all of her endeavors.  Valerie works tirelessly to elevate the dance industry and curate long-lasting careers for everyone she works alongside in the industry.

The Comerica Bank Woman of Diversity is Jocelyn DeLeonJocelyn is a first-generation Latina entrepreneur who has started multiple successful businesses that cater to women of color. After seeing the underrepresentation of women in executive roles, Jocelyn launched her business, Hire Women LLC, which showcased women-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, and successful women in their respective careers. From there, Jocelyn turned her LLC into Hire Women Agency, a creative agency that helps women of color-owned businesses with social media, branding, and web design. Furthermore, Jocelyn launched her own publishing company and released her first bilingual children’s book to inspire the younger generations.
