Kuzma's Top Plays from his Rising Stars MVP Performance

CHARLOTTE — Even at All-Star Weekend, few players ever get as hot as Kyle Kuzma did in his Rising Stars MVP performance.

The sophomore dropped 35 points — breaking Kobe Bryant’s 22-year-old Rising Stars team record — and had plenty of highlights mixed in. Here are the top five of Kuzma’s scorching night.

5) Off the glass oop
Kuzma didn’t hesitate to start filling the bucket, scratching in the box score just 28 seconds into the game on a trailing off-the-backboard dunk.

It was a sign of much to come, as he scored 14 of the USA Team’s first 20 points.

4) Give and go
Designed plays aren’t exactly common at All-Star Weekend, but Kuzma struck late by inbounding the ball and immediately cutting to the cup.

Kuzma secured the pass against an opponent’s steal attempt and finished with some flash on his dunk.

3) Zo vision
Kuzma put together the seventh-best scoring night in Rising Stars history, yet still made a little time for some head-turning passing.

2) Hustle and Hook
While people may not turn into Rising Stars to see some offensive rebounding, Kuzma crashed the glass and peppered in some flare for one of his best buckets of the night.

After securing the board, he ball-faked his way into a looping hook, calling bank on one of his signature shots.

1) All-Star throwdown
Kuzma threw down five dunks in his MVP display, and none were better than when he got out ahead on the break and turned it into a personal Dunk Contest audition.

Kuz loaded up his dunk and threw it down with authority, slamming the windmill for the biggest highlight on a night full of them.
