Ingram to Sit Remainder of Summer League

After cramping in his right leg caused Brandon Ingram to miss the overtime period of Friday's loss to the LA Clippers, the Lakers have decided to play it safe with their young wing, sitting him down for the remainder of Summer League.

Ingram sustained his cramps on the final shot of regulation. Trainer Marco Nuñez attended to him briefly before Ingram was able to walk off the court under his own power.

He said he wanted to return to the game, but the Lakers' coaching staff practiced caution, and president Magic Johnson, sitting courtside, could be seen signaling that Ingram shouldn't continue to play.

Ingram starred in his lone Summer League contest, dropping 26 points on the Clippers and hitting the overtime-forcing layup.

He is likely to remain with the team in Las Vegas and continue to practice. However, he will not play in another game.
