Kobe to Sit Out Against Miami

Just two days ago, head coach Byron Scott said that Kobe Bryant wanted to try to play in all 82 games this season.

That goal is officially off the board, as Bryant will not play against Miami on Tuesday.

The team decided to give the 17-time all-star the game off to rest. The contest against the Heat is the first leg of a back-to-back that also includes a visit to Orlando Wednesday.

Metta World Peace will start at small forward in place of Bryant.
