At 86 years young, Lakers Director of Scouting/Basketball Consultant Bill Bertka is as sharp as ever.
As we like to say around the office, the 45-year NBA veteran has forgotten far more about basketball than most have ever learned. We had a chance to sit down, on camera, with a man absolutely revered around the league. Bertka discussed how he first got into the game, how he developed his renowned national scouting service ("Bertka Views"), his transition to working as first a scout and later an assistant coach with the Lakers and more.
