Lakers Thanksgiving Feast 2016 Tips Off “A Season of Giving” Presented by East West Bank

Thursday, November 17th marked the beginning of “A Season of Giving” presented by East West Bank, as the Lakers hosted the annual Thanksgiving Feast at the Hotchkin Memorial Training Center in Downtown Los Angeles. A total of 500 attendees from the Boys and Girls Club, Los Angeles Urban League, Asian Youth Center, Cathedral of the Lady of our Angels, YMCA of West San Gabriel Valley, Red Shield Youth Center, Mix Roots, Korean American Family Services, Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, Five Acres, Vista Del Mar, and First Place for Youth, gathered together for a night of celebration and thanksgiving.

The Laker Girls were there to add to the spirited environment, as they greeted each guest, took photos, and signed autographs for all those in attendance. Once everyone was seated at their tables and ready to eat, Lakers players Thomas Robinson and Brandon Ingram arrived to help serve the delicious food generously prepared by Lucille’s BBQ. The Thanksgiving spread included turkey, glazed ham, stuffing, garlic mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, biscuits, and pumpkin pie.

After everyone had eaten and gone back for seconds, Robinson and Ingram went on stage to announce the winners of the raffle. The prizes included Lakers tickets and a basketball and hat, signed by Robinson and Ingram on stage. As the evening concluded, each guest went home with treats from the Los Angeles Fire Department and a Lakers gift bag.

“A Season of Giving” continues throughout the holiday season and the Lakers look forward to sharing this special time of year with all Lakers fans.
