• Gabriele Procida is a 6-foot-7 wing who last played for Fortitudo Bologna of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A. The 20-year-old, who was born on June 1, 2002, grew up as a member of the Pallacanestro Cantu youth program. In 2018, Procida played for Stella Azzurra’s U18 club in the Adidas Next Generation Tournament (NGT). The following year, he was a member of Virtus Bologna’s U18 team at the NGT.
• Procida made his professional debut at the age of 17, appearing in his first Lega Basket Serie A game – as a member of Pallacanestro Cantu – in October of 2019. Less than a year later, Procida inked a four-year deal with Cantu. As a rookie in 2019-20, Procida appeared in just seven contests, totaling nine points and three rebounds in 28 minutes. A year later, he took on a much larger role for Cantu, averaging 6.7 points, 2.5 rebounds and shooting 41.9 percent from three (3.0 3PA/G) in nearly 16 minutes per game. In a loss to VL Pesaro in January of 2021, the then-18-year-old Procida scored 24 points, becoming the third-youngest player (Luigi Datome, Carlos Delfino) in Lega Basket Serie A history to post at least 24 points in a game.
• Procida initially declared for the 2021 NBA Draft but eventually returned to Italy. Prior to the 2021-22 season, Procida departed Cantu and signed a multi-year deal with Fortitudo Bologna. In 26 appearances for Fortitudo, Procida notched 7.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 0.9 made threes per game while posting a 17.6 PER.
