Milwaukee Bucks Team Overview

2011-12 record: 31-35

Third place, Central Division

Did not make the playoffs

Round: 1

Round: 2

Analysis: Bucks have to hope Henson helps stave off seller's remorse

Areas of Strength:
Scoring was up in Milwaukee last season, thanks partly to the acquisition of points producer Monta Ellis. The Bucks also ranked third in assists, seventh in offensive rebounding and, as a result, eighth in second-chance points.

Needs Work:
Defense was down, somewhat uncharacteristically for a Scott Skiles-coached team. The backcourt is small with Ellis and Brandon Jennings and Milwaukee made due up front with a group of somewhat redundant forwards (Ekpe Udoh, Larry Sanders, Luc Mbah a Moute) after the injury to, and subsequent trade of, center Andrew Bogut.

Two Stats That Matter:
13 -- Milwaukee led the NBA in games with at least 30 assists, four more than anyone else. The Bucks also scored at least 100 points 33 times, the most since they did it 36 times in 82 games three years ago.

7-25 -- The Bucks' record against teams with records of .500 or better.

The Way To Go:
Size and athletic ability are priorities. Names floating for the Bucks at this spot include North Carolina's Tyler Zeller, Illinois' Meyers Leonard or Baylor's Perry Jones III. Keep in mind that Milwaukee GM John Hammond has been an active trade participant at draft time over the past several seasons.
