The NBA announced that LA Clippers President of Basketball Operations Lawrence Frank has been named the 2019-20 NBA Basketball Executive of the Year.

“L is a passionate, dedicated, and selfless leader. I am proud of the work he and his group are doing, and thrilled his peers feel the same way,” said Steve Ballmer, Clippers Chairman. “This award is a great tribute to the hard work done by the entire front office, including our General Manager Michael Winger, Assistant GMs Mark Hughes and Trent Redden, and consultant Jerry West. Together, they have worked to develop every facet of our basketball operations department.”

In his third year as the Clippers President of Basketball Operations, Frank and the front office shaped a roster headlined by two-time Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard and six-time All-Star Paul George. At the trade deadline, they acquired Marcus Morris Sr., who averaged career-highs in points per game (16.7) and three-point percentage (40.8%). This marks the second time in franchise history that a Clippers executive has won the award, and the first time in Frank’s career.

The NBA announced that LA Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard has been named to the 2019-20 All-NBA Second Team. This marks the fourth time in Leonard’s career that he has received an All-NBA distinction.

Leonard, who appeared in 57 games this season, tied for fifth in the NBA in steals per game (1.8) and ranked eighth in the league in points per game (27.1). The 6’7” forward averaged career highs in points (27.1), assists (4.9) and defensive rebounds (6.1). Leonard was previously named to the All-NBA First Team in 2016 and 2017, and the All-NBA Second Team in 2019.

The 2019-20 NBA All-NBA Second Team consists of Kawhi Leonard (LA Clippers), Nikola Jokić (Denver Nuggets), Damian Lillard (Portland Trail Blazers), Chris Paul (Oklahoma City Thunder) and Pascal Siakam (Toronto Raptors).

The NBA announced that L.A. Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard and guard Patrick Beverley have both been named to the All-Defensive Second Team. This marks the sixth time in Leonard's career and third time in Beverley’s that they have received All-Defensive distinctions, as well as the third time in franchise history that multiple Clippers have been named to an NBA All-Defensive team in the same season.

Led by Leonard and Beverley, the Clippers' defense earned the fifth-best defensive rating (106.9) in the NBA this season.

Leonard, the two-time Defensive Player of the Year, tied for fifth in the NBA in steals per game (1.8) this season, while appearing in 57 games for the Clippers and averaging career-highs in points (27.1), assists (4.9) and defensive rebounds (6.1). Leonard was previously named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team in 2017, 2016 and 2015 and to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 2019 and 2014.

This year, Beverley ranked second on the team in steals per game (1.1) and recorded the fifth-most defensive rebounds per game (4.1) by any player listed at 6-foot-3 inches and under. Beverley was previously named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team in 2016 and to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 2014.

The 2019-20 NBA All-Defensive Second Team consists of Kawhi Leonard (L.A. Clippers), Brook Lopez (Milwaukee Bucks), Bam Adebayo (Miami Heat), Patrick Beverley (L.A. Clippers) and Eric Bledsoe (Milwaukee Bucks).

The NBA announced that LA Clippers forward Montrezl Harrell has been named the 2019-20 NBA Kia Sixth Man of the Year. This marks the third straight year and the fifth time overall that a Clippers player has won the award, which is the most for a franchise in NBA History.

Harrell, who was named a finalist for the award last year, averaged career-highs in points (18.6) and rebounds (7.1) this season, while also leading the league with the most double-doubles off the bench (11) and tying for the most 30+ point games off the bench (4). Harrell and teammate Lou Williams, fellow Sixth Man of the Year finalist and three-time Sixth Man of the Year award winner, became the first duo since the NBA started designating starters in 1970-71 to each average 17+ points per game off the bench. Harrell also ranked second in the NBA in bench scoring (18.4 points per game) and tied for fourth in the NBA in field goal percentage (min. 600 FGA, 58.0%).

The Clippers finished the 2019-20 regular season with a 49-23 (.681) record and earned the second seed in the Western Conference Playoffs. The NBA Kia Sixth Man of the Year award is voted on by a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters based on games played from the start of the regular season through March 11 and did not include “seeding games,” which took place from July 30 – August 14.
