CLIPPERS ADD BLAKELY, COLLINS, DENNIS, SCHEYER AND VOSKUHL TO TRAINING CAMP ROSTER

The Los Angeles Clippers today signed free agents Marqus Blakely, Jarron Collins, Stephen Dennis, Jon Scheyer and Jake Voskuhl to complete their training camp roster.

Blakely, who averaged 17.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 2.4 steals and 1.9 blocks for the University of Vermont last season, was named the America East Defensive Player of the Year, the CollegeInsider.com America East Player of the Year and was the 2010 State Farm College Slam Dunk Champion. He tallied 14.5 points and 8.1 rebounds over his four-year collegiate career at Vermont.

A nine-year NBA veteran, Jarron Collins brings career averages of 4.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 16.3 minutes with him to Los Angeles. In 34 games played for the Phoenix Suns last season, Collins averaged 1.0 point and 1.8 rebounds per game.

Dennis, the 2010 Division II College Basketball Player of the Year from Kutztown University, averaged 26.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 36.5 minutes last season. He finished the season as the NCAA Division II scoring leader for 2010 and was named the PSAC East Player of the Year. Dennis set the Kutztown record for career points (2,406), field goals (850), free throws (621) and assists (447) and led Kutztown to two consecutive appearances in the NCAA Tournament.

Named to the All-American Second Team by the Associated Press, NABC, USBWA and Sporting News in 2010, Jon Scheyer helped lead the Duke Blue Devils to the 2010 NCAA Championship. He averaged 18.2 points, 4.9 assists and 3.6 rebounds in 40 games played during his senior campaign.

Voskuhl, a nine-year NBA veteran who last played with the Toronto Raptors during the 2008-09 season, has averaged 4.0 points and 3.4 rebounds over his career.

The Clippers’ training camp roster currently stands at 18 players.
