OVER 3,000 KIDS TAKE PART IN FOURTH EDITION OF CLIPPERS FREE SUMMER BASKETBALL CAMPS

The Los Angeles Clippers, continuing an initiative created by the team’s owner Donald T. Sterling, have recently completed 10 free youth basketball clinics during a two week period in multiple locations throughout the greater Los Angeles area.

The clinics, now in their fourth year, have accommodated a grand total of just under 9,000 LA-area youths in the seven summertime weeks they’ve taken place since 2006. Over 3,000 youths were provided a fun and valuable experience at 10 locations in this summer’s two week edition.

Courtesy of the Clippers, each and every camper receives lunch, an official t-shirt and wristbands, plus a goody bag full of books and school supplies from the Clippers Read To Achieve program.

Former Clipper big man and NBA veteran Sean Rooks was on-hand to supervise this summer’s clinics.
