The Los Angeles Clippers, continuing an initiative created by the teams owner Donald T. Sterling, have recently completed 10 free youth basketball clinics during a two week period in multiple locations throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
The clinics, now in their fourth year, have accommodated a grand total of just under 9,000 LA-area youths in the seven summertime weeks theyve taken place since 2006. Over 3,000 youths were provided a fun and valuable experience at 10 locations in this summers two week edition.
Courtesy of the Clippers, each and every camper receives lunch, an official t-shirt and wristbands, plus a goody bag full of books and school supplies from the Clippers Read To Achieve program.
Former Clipper big man and NBA veteran Sean Rooks was on-hand to supervise this summers clinics.
