We’re pleased to present our first grant to Los Angeles-based mentoring, scholarship and college access organization MOSTe, which is dedicated to ensuring girls from underserved areas in Los Angeles County have the support they need to reach and graduate from college. The grant will help MOSTe continue to build back to safe and inspiring in-person programming, such as multi-day college tours and college preparation opportunities for its students, empowering rising young women to achieve their dreams.

INGLEWOOD, Calif. - The LA Clippers and Intuit Inc. (Nasdaq: INTU), a global technology platform that makes TurboTax, QuickBooks, Credit Karma and Mint, announced today that they have entered a 23-year strategic partnership. Intuit is the exclusive naming rights partner of the Intuit Dome, the future home of the Clippers, which is scheduled to open in Inglewood, California for the 2024-2025 NBA season. The Clippers, Intuit and community leaders will break ground this morning. The Intuit Dome will deliver an innovative fan and consumer experience, and it will become a hub for programs that power economic prosperity and benefit the community.

The Clippers have committed to the City of Inglewood the largest community benefits package ever associated with an arena, generating an estimated $260 million in annual economic activity.

Intuit Dome has been designed to create an intimate and intense fan experience through features such as “The Wall,” which is comprised of 51 uninterrupted rows of seats that include a dedicated supporters section; a two-sided halo scoreboard encircling the bowl with an acre of LED lighting; and an 80,000 square foot outdoor plaza, surrounding a full-size outdoor court. Technological advancements within Intuit Dome will allow for frictionless concession stands, enabling fans to spend more time in their seats.

LA Clippers to Announce Partnership During Groundbreaking for Intuit Dome

The LA Clippers have acquired the draft rights to Brandon Boston Jr. The 51st overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft was obtained from the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for cash considerations. Boston Jr. will be added to the Clippers roster for the 2021 NBA Summer League, which tips off on Aug. 8 in Las Vegas. An updated summer league roster can be found below.

Boston Jr. averaged 11.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists during his freshman season at the University of Kentucky. The 6-foot-6 guard led the Wildcats in steals per game (1.3) and tied for the lead in points per game. A consensus five-star prospect out of Sierra Canyon School in Los Angeles, Boston Jr. was named the California Male Athlete of the Year and the California Basketball Player of the Year as a senior. The Norcross, Ga., native was also honored as a First Team Naismith All-American and was selected to the McDonald’s All-American Game.

Why is it important to you to be an ally of the LGBTQ+ community? Are there any specific moments that you can point to that either spurred you to speak up or get involved, or that encouraged you to learn more about how you can be supportive?

It’s important to me because I want to be a supportive and understanding sister, friend and family member. I want to continue to educate myself and others and be a good example to future generations. The LGBTQ+ community faces many challenges, injustices, and inequalities. Even today there are still a lot of states and countries that don’t support the basic rights of the LGBTQ community. I will never be able to fully personally understand what each LGBTQ+ individual goes through or has gone through as a result, and that alone makes me want to learn how I can be a better ally. Knowledge and education are so important to helping me understand, better relate to and support my LGBTQ+ friends and family members.

Do you have friends, family or others in your life who identify as gay, trans or queer that have made an impact on you and how you understand their experience in the world?

I’m very close with my brother, who is gay, and I have aunts, cousins, friends and others in my life who are members of the LGBTQ+ community as well. They’ve each had very different experiences.

What does being an ally mean to you? How do you demonstrate your allyship?

Being an ally to me means being supportive, accepting, and caring about the wellbeing of LGBTQ+ people. I demonstrate this by showing up, staying informed, supporting equality, and speaking up when necessary.

Outside of your personal relationships, are there any moments in your life, in pop culture (like a concert or TV show) or cultural event for example, that have inspired you to support and encourage LGBTQ+ pride?

Recently, I watched several films that taught me about the struggles that many LGBTQ+ people experience today or have experienced in the past. Those films made me want to become even more informed, to help me be a better sister, friend, and ally. I have learned a lot from my gay, lesbian, bi, queer, and transgender friends and family members, but those films made me realize there is so much more to know and so many more ways to be supportive.

Have there been moments during your work at the Clippers where you’ve been proud to work for an organization that values diversity and supports all communities, including the LGBTQ+ community? Can you explain?

I am most proud of the Clippers for bringing awareness to the LGBTQ+ community, hiring a diverse group, and bringing in resources and speakers for employees in recent years. I’m grateful because I believe the more informed we all are the better this world will be. One recent example: Last year our team got together in the middle of the pandemic to protest and wear our PRIDE shirts.

Are there resources that have helped you on your allyship journey that you would like to share with others?

There are so many resources available these days to educate us, including films, articles, websites, social media, groups and so much more. Personally, I think the Trevor Project is a great resource because mental health is incredibly important, especially to the LGBTQ+ community.

LOS ANGELES – The LA Clippers, who have advanced to the playoffs for the ninth time in the past 10 seasons, will take on the Dallas Mavericks in the First Round of the 2021 NBA Playoffs. The Clippers’ first playoff game will be on Saturday, May 22 at 1:30 p.m. PT at STAPLES Center. The series schedule is as follows:

All Clippers First Round Playoff games will be televised locally on Bally Sports SoCal (BSSC), with Brian Sieman, Jim Jackson and Kristina Pink on the call for Game 1; and Sieman, Mike Fratello and Pink on the call for Games 2 and beyond. The games will be available for live streaming via Bally Sports app and BallySports.com, with Clippers CourtVision powered by AWS available as well. Noah Eagle will call all Clippers playoff games on the radio on AM 570 L.A. Sports and Armando Aguayo will call games in Spanish on 1330 AM – Tu Liga Radio.

A very limited number of Clippers playoffs tickets are available at www.clippers.com/tickets. Fans in attendance at home playoff games will receive LED wristbands presented by Honey and slap fans or rally towels presented by Chick-fil-A SoCal. Clipper Nation can also submit pictures of themselves wearing Clippers gear at www.clippers.com/fancutouts for the chance to be featured as fan cutouts during the 2021 Playoffs.

In celebration of Women’s History Month, we are highlighting the achievements and stories of our Women employees across the LA Clippers, Agua Caliente Clippers, and the Forum.

Learn more about Jolene Herz, Director, Bookings for the Forum! Jolene’s primary role is booking content at the Forum. Her main focus is on lower bowl and theater content, including Latin and K-Pop shows as well as working with third party promoters.

I’ve been very fortunate to have been able to work at live entertainment companies such as Live Nation, Madison Square Garden Company and Nederlander Concerts. Fun Fact: I’ve worked at the Forum twice! My first time was 2007 – 2010.

What’s your favorite thing about your job?

Building lasting relationships – The relationships I’ve made will last a lifetime and its fulfilling to work with people you respect in the business. I also have to mention show days! There is nothing more exciting than show days, when all of the hard work comes together.

What advice do you have for women trying to break into the entertainment industry?

Be persistent and set intention. Don’t be afraid to reach out to people you may not know or use your contacts to get your foot in the door.

If you could have dinner with any woman in the world, who would it be and why?

Michelle Obama. The Forum was a stop on her book tour in 2018. There was a joyful excitement on show day that everyone could feel, and I was so moved by the story of her life.

The LA Clippers will tip off the second half of the 2020-21 season on Thursday, March 11 vs. the Golden State Warriors on TNT, and have released their second half schedule.

The second half of the Clippers’ season includes seven back-to-backs and two series, with two games at the Dallas Mavericks in March and a back-to-back at the San Antonio Spurs March 24-25. The Clippers will host a nine-game homestand from March 27 – April 11 that includes nationally-televised matchups against the Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Lakers, and Phoenix Suns. The team will conclude the regular season on the road with games at the Toronto Raptors, Charlotte Hornets, Houston Rockets, and Oklahoma City Thunder, and wrap regular season play on May 16.

Prime Ticket and FOX Sports San Diego (soon to be rebranded Bally Sports SoCal and Bally Sports San Diego) will televise all Clippers games not airing exclusively on TNT, ESPN, or ABC. Additionally, all games airing on the regional sports networks will be available for live streaming via the FOX Sports GO app and FOXSportsGO.com, with Clippers CourtVision powered by AWS available as well. Jim Jackson and Mike Fratello continue to rotate at the analyst position, Brian Sieman serves as play-by-play announcer, and Kristina Pink and Jaime Maggio share reporting responsibilities.

All games will air on the radio on AM 570 L.A. Sports and in Spanish on 1330 AM – Tu Liga Radio.

Clippers To Tip Off Second Half Of Schedule March 11 vs. Warriors On TNT

The LA Clippers announced today that the team has signed guard Luke Kennard to a multi-year contract extension. Per club policy, terms of the agreement were not announced.

“We are excited to secure a commitment from a dynamic, emerging young player who continues to grow every day,” said Clippers president of basketball operations Lawrence Frank. “We have been impressed with Luke’s versatility and maturity, and it’s been a privilege to get to know him better during this training camp. We believe he is a fantastic fit for our organization and we are delighted he feels the same.”

“Today is a great day. I couldn’t be more excited to play for the LA Clippers, and am thankful for Steve Ballmer, my teammates, and the entire Clippers organization for giving me the opportunity to be part of this world-class franchise,” said Kennard. “ I am inspired by Steve’s unwavering commitment to winning and look forward to contributing to the team’s success on the court.”

Kennard, 24, appeared in 28 games for the Detroit Pistons last season and averaged a career-high 15.8 points, 4.1 assists and 3.5 rebounds. Acquired as part of a three-team deal on Nov. 19, Kennard ranked second on the Pistons last season in free throw percentage (.893), third in points and 3P% (.399) and fourth in assists. The 6-foot-5 guard was selected by the Pistons as the 12th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft and holds career averages of 9.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 164 career games.

The Franklin, Ohio native spent two collegiate seasons at Duke University, averaging 15.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists. During his sophomore season at Duke in 2016-17, Kennard was named second team All-American and first team All-ACC, a John R. Wooden Award Finalist and the ACC Tournament Most Valuable Player.
