CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed forward Luke Harangody to a contract, Cavaliers General Manager Chris Grant announced today from Cleveland Clinic Courts. Per league and team policy, terms of the contract were not announced. The Cavaliers extended a qualifying offer to Harangody on June 30th.
Harangody, 24, averaged 2.9 points and 2.5 rebounds in 11.0 minutes per game in 21 games (one start) for the Cavs this season. He scored 16 points on 6-11 (.545) and added 10 rebounds and three steals in 37 minutes at Washington on April 14, 2012 in his only start of the season. The 6-foot-8 forward also appeared in 16 games (all starts) for the Canton Charge, the Cavaliers exclusively owned and operated NBA Development League team and averaged 19.4 points on .486 shooting and 12.6 rebounds in 36.0 minutes per game.
