Love has 11 double-doubles in his last 13 meetings against New York. Love's frontcourt mate, Tristan Thompson posted two double-doubles and averaged 7.5 points and 11.0 rebounds in the four games against the Knicks in 2015-16.

New York made several roster changes this offseason, acquiring former MVP Derrick Rose, former Defensive Player of the Year Joakim Noah as well as veteran guards Courtney Lee and Brandon Jennings. They also hired a new head coach with Jeff Hornacek taking over at the helm.

The Knicks still have nine-time All-Star Carmelo Anthony and one of the most promising sophomores in the league in Kristaps Porzingis.
