Joe G. has your keys to victory.

The Cavs lead the series, 3-2, after a 116-78 victory in Game 5 of the ECF at Quicken Loans Arena on Wednesday night.

The Wine and Gold’s 38-point victory in Game 5 was the largest postseason win in franchise history (previously 31, 115-84, vs. Toronto in Game 1). It also tied the 5th-largest margin of victory in NBA Conference Finals history. Cleveland’s 31-point halftime advantage (65-34) marked the largest halftime lead in a Conference Finals game in NBA history. The Raptors’ 34 first half points marked an opponent postseason low for the Cavaliers. (ESPN Stats & Info)

Cleveland cruised to the victory due in large part to their energy and effort at both ends of the floor.

In Wednesday’s win, Cleveland held the edge in rebounds (48-27, +21), points in the paint (46-32, +14), second chance points (18-11, +7) and fast break points (21-14, +7). The Cavaliers’ 21 fast break points marked a postseason high.

The Cavaliers will aim to have the same productivity as they look to reach the NBA Finals for the second straight season (3rd time in team history).

Toronto hopes to even the series and force a Game 7 by regaining the confidence they left Toronto with after winning Games 3 and 4 on their home floor.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, no team has ever participated in three Game 7s prior to the NBA Finals. The Raptors went the distance in the first round vs. Indiana and again in the second round vs. Miami, winning both Game 7s at home.

Toronto is 1-1 all-time when facing elimination in Game 6. The Raptors are 2-0 when facing elimination in the 2016 Playoffs.
