CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Cavaliers will mark the 10th anniversary of the teams’ historic 2016 NBA Championship with three theme nights during the 2026-27 season, beginning Saturday, November 7, when the Cavs host the New York Knicks at 8 p.m. at Rocket Arena. The Cavaliers will recognize members of the 2016 team through in-game moments, giveaways and concourse activations.
On June 19, 2016, the Cavs became the first and only team in NBA history to win the Finals after trailing 3-1, defeating the Golden State Warriors. The championship remains a defining chapter in Cleveland sports history and a source of pride across the region.
THREE MATCHUPS AT ROCKET ARENA
The Cavs will host three 10th Anniversary Celebration games in November and December, a tribute to the team, the city and every fan who never stopped believing.
Saturday, November 7 vs. New York Knicks at 8:00 p.m. ET
When the Cavs tip off the celebration, fans can watch artist Stina Aleah paint live on the concourse, creating a piece that features figures and motifs from the 2016 team and the iconic championship. Fans can also take part in hard hat decorating activations, courtesy of Cleveland-Cliffs.
Saturday, November 14 vs. Dallas Mavericks at 7:30 p.m. ET
All fans in attendance will receive a mini replica of the 2016 championship banner presented by Medical Mutual. A replica banner on the concourse will serve as a backdrop for fan photos.
Saturday, December 12 vs. Golden State Warriors at 8:00 p.m. ET
Every fan in attendance at the game will receive a Matthew Dellavedova bobblehead. The Cavs will honor the former guard and 2016 team member, affectionately known as “Delly,” a fan favorite remembered for the relentless hustle and grit that helped make him an NBA champion. Cutouts of Dellavedova will be available on the concourse for fan photo opportunities.
At all three theme nights, fans can purchase a 2016-themed souvenir cup at concession stands throughout Rocket Arena.

RELIVE THE 2016 RUN
The theme nights build on a months-long celebration that began June 19, 2026, 10 years to the day after the championship, when the Cavs opened the 2016 Championship Commemorative Court at Meet Me Here Plaza. Located across from Rocket Arena on Huron Road between East 4th and Ontario streets, the reimagined plaza features a full-size outdoor basketball court that includes the name and number of every player from the 2016 team, along with walkways and seating designed to bring people together before, during and after Cavs games. It is centered on the “Meet Me Here” letters that have marked the corner of Ontario and Huron since 1994.
The Cavs also partnered with the Cleveland Public Library, as part of the One Cleveland initiative, on “All In 216: 10th Anniversary Championship Exhibit,” which opened July 25 at the Main Library Campus in downtown Cleveland. The exhibit features authenticated memorabilia from the 3-1 comeback, key plays from the series and the record-setting parade that filled downtown. It is free and open to the public through January 2, 2027.
Fans are encouraged to visit both by shooting around at Meet Me Here Plaza before a game or stopping by the library to relive the championship run before the exhibit closes.
