Joe G's Running Game Blog

Wrap-Up - The Cavaliers were dominant in the first quarter of Tuesday's matchup with Charlotte in Canton, but the Bobcats cut Cleveland's lead to just a deuce before intermission and used a 32-point third quarter (outscoring the Wine and Gold, 32-17) to give them all the breathing room they'd need. CJ Miles and Kyrie Irving finished with 15 points apiece in the loss.

2:55, 4Q - Kenny Kadji took three stitches near his right eye. He's back out of the locker room and on the Cavs bench.

Gee gets the start but goes 0-1 FG, 0pts; Earl Clark, still struggling to fit in - 1-5 FG, 2pts - now 3-for-17 in three preseason games. Tristan Thompson, loving that right-hand switch, is now 13-21 FG so far this preseason.

5:55, 2Q - Starting to look like a preseason game here mid-2nd quarter. Cavs already with 11 turnovers; Bennett, despite early 3pt success, now with 3 PF. Dellavedova's been impressive running the team, now with 5 pts, 3 asst off the bench.

End of 1Q - Anthony Bennett picks up where he left off in Orlando, draining a pair of three-pointers (to go with three boards) as Cavs open lead to 27-17. Cavs shooting 65 percent from the floor - Thompson, 2-2 FG; Kyrie, 2-4 FG

7:10 p.m. - With Andrew Bynum still rehabbing his knee, Tyler Zeller recovering from an appendectomy and the squad giving Anderson Varejao the night off to rest, former Georgetown standout Henry Sims gets the start at center for the Wine and Gold.
