Cavaliers, Monsters and Canton Charge Family Gives Back to Communities as part of Season of Giving and Week of Service

As part of the 2011 NBA Development League Week of Service (November 14th through November 23rd) and before the inaugural 2011-12 season gets underway, the Canton Charge is giving back to its new community while encouraging volunteerism and generating awareness about the importance of community service. The NBADL Cares Week of Service seeks to expand the impact of volunteer work in existing organizations and encourage individuals to make a difference in their communities.

Additionally, the Monsters have joined the Cavaliers in the NBA Season of Giving to make this holiday a better one for local families. The Season of Giving is an NBA Cares league initiative that runs from Thanksgiving through the New Year, and celebrates the holidays with a series of charitable visits and events designed to help feed the hungry, visit with hospitalized children and provide needed resources to the underserved.
