The Warriors practiced on Friday at team headquarters before departing in the afternoon for Portland where the Western Conference Semifinals resume on Saturday evening.

After practice Warriors head coach Steve Kerr addressed the latest regarding Stephen Curry’s efforts to return to game action.

“Today was the by far the best he looked. He’s made progress each day and he took part on the court in our practice today,” says Kerr.

Warriors Head to Portland

Before the Warriors head to Portland for Games Three and Four of the Western Conference Semifinals, a couple of practices are part of the preparation for the games ahead against the Trail Blazers.

After Thursday’s practice, Klay Thompson talked about returning to the Portland area where he grew up and even had a restaurant recommendation for fans heading to Oregon for the weekend.

This moment with Klay is just part of the full Warriors Sound practice report which can be found inside the Warriors iTunes and Google Play podcast channels.

Where to get a good cheeseburger (which as Klay says, “I won’t eat it until after the trip… I’m on a strict playoff diet,”) just one of the topics after practice, as Klay talked about returning to Oregon.

“It’s special for me and I never thought I’d be playing in the playoffs up there as a kid, so it’s going to be a great moment for me and I’m going to enjoy every minute of it,” he said.

“This composite really works. It fits together really well. Within that composite, we have many good leaders, we have some who stick out – we have some who are more subtle – their leadership, their encouragement to others, their buying into the process is a tremendous form of stability for a team,” he adds.
