The Warriors have the longest active winning streak in the league (5 games) and Draymond Green made clutch plays in their last two games to keep the streak alive.

Against the Spurs in San Antonio on Easter Sunday, Green, sandwiched between two Spurs players, secured a pivotal offensive rebound and kicked the ball out to Klay Thompson for the dagger three.

Green finished the game with 21 points on 8-for-9 shooting, 11 assists, six steals and was a game-best plus-13 in his 32 minutes. He joined Denver's Nikola Jokic as the only players in the league over the past four seasons to record at least 21 points, 11 assists, six rebounds and six steals in a game.

"That was a defensive masterpiece," Head Coach Steve Kerr said following the Spurs game. "You watch that game; Draymond is a genius defensively."

At 6'5, Green was the primary defender on 7'4 center Victor Wembanyama, who also has an eight-foot wingspan. For five of his six steals, Green was either directly guarding Wembanyama or, for one of them, he ripped the rookie big as a help defender.

A couple days later, the Warriors returned to Chase Center to host the Dallas Mavericks, who had won seven straight games and have two of the most potent offensive weapons in the league: Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

With both players being guards, Green operated more as a free safety, reading the eyes of the floor generals and helping out when needed on pick-and-rolls. He intercepted two Doncic passes and a third intended for the league's leading scorer.

However, his defensive play of the game came in the fourth quarter, with the Warriors nursing a six-point lead. Again serving as a help defender, Green stopped Irving's dribble penetration and recovered to erase center Daniel Gafford's shot at the rim. Gafford ranks second among qualifiers in field percentage (68.3%) and Irving is one of the league's premier clutch-time scorers. Green prevented both players from doing what they do best.

"Initially just stepping up and make Kyrie (Irving) make a decision," Green said on his thought process on the possession. "If he's going to shoot the ball, I’m in a spot where I can get a contest. But also knowing that Gafford is right there for the drop-off, I couldn't over-commit."

Nineteen-year NBA veteran Chris Paul referred to Green's block as one of the best plays he's seen in his career.

The Warriors have held four of their last five opponents to 100 points or less and Green plans to continue leading the charge to set a crucial defensive tone.

"Our defense is the one thing that's non-negotiable; we have to defend at that level," Green said.

The Warriors are 9-0 when holding their opponents to 100 or fewer points and 22-4 when limiting them to under 110. They will continue to rely on their defensive anchor to lead the way in that regard.

In an emotion-packed game honoring assistant coach Dejan Milojević, Jonathan Kuminga made Warriors history by hitting all 11 of his field goal attempts in Wednesday's 134-112 victory over the Atlanta Hawks. His 11 made field goals tied Warriors’ legend Chris Mullin for the most made field goals in a game without a miss in franchise history. Mullin accomplished that feat over 33 years ago on Dec. 1. 1990.

"We went out and did what Deki would want us to do: have fun and win the game," Kuminga said postgame.

Kuminga has a strong relationship with Mullin, who is currently an analyst for the Warriors' postgame show on NBC Sports Bay Area and felt really good about tying his record.

"It felt great," Kuminga said. "It’s crazy that Chris Mullin is my guy and just tying his record is a blessing. I'm really happy that happened."

Outside of Kuminga, Draymond Green is the active Warrior with the most consecutive field goals made in a game without missing (9), which he achieved on Jan. 31. 2016.

Green has been a motivating factor for Kuminga's ascension this season, as he consistently encourages the third year forward to be confident and assertive on the court.

"I'm definitely getting confidence from everybody but mostly Draymond," Kuminga said. "Every single day, he tells me what to do. A couple of days ago in practice, he told me to attack if I have to attack, not to overthink it."

Kuminga has consistently been in attack mode this season, attempting a career-high 7.4 shots per game inside the arc and converting those looks at a 60.1 percent clip (also a career-high). All 11 of his field goals on Wednesday were inside the arc.

"I only really took what they gave me on defense," Kuminga said. " I wasn't even really thinking about taking any threes.”

Earlier in the season, Jonathan Kuminga told Marcus Thompson of The Athletic that 'nobody could guard him with the ball in his hands.' On Wednesday, Green echoed those sentiments, shouting 'they can't stop you' in the fourth quarter. And every shot Kuminga attempted, he made, so how could you really argue with him? Kuminga and Nikola Jokic are the only players to make 11-plus field goals without missing in a game this season. He is just one of four Warriors to make at least 11 field goals in a game this season, joining Stephen Curry (11x), Klay Thompson (2x) and Andrew Wiggins (1x) and has scored in double-figures in 21 straight games, including four consecutive 20-point games.

Kuminga's aggressive and consistent offensive production has been a bright light for the Dubs as they attempt to make up ground in a crowded Western Conference playoff race and his timely ‘perfect game’ was needed as they returned to the court.

Stephen Curry and the Warriors hosted the Orlando Magic on Tuesday, with the opportunity for a fresh start to begin the calendar year. The Warriors were amidst a three-game losing streak in which Curry had combined to shoot 19-for-61 (31.1 percent) from the field. The all-time leader in made 3-pointers broke out of his slump on Tuesday, ironically by attacking closer to the basket. In the second quarter, Curry scored eight consecutive points for the Warriors, all inside the arc. That opened up his perimeter shot, as he splashed in a four-point play near the end of the first half.&nbsp;

“It’s always about taking what the defense gives you, knowing when you can be aggressive," Curry said postgame.&nbsp;

In the second half, Curry got free for a couple of catch-and-shoot threes, draining two that swished without him even looking back at the basket.

Curry finished with 36 points in 35 minutes, marking the seventh game this season in which he's scored more points than minutes played. Tuesday's performance was his 50th of his career with at least 36 points while shooting at least 60 percent from the field. The Warriors are 8-3 when Curry scores at least 30 points this season.&nbsp;

“Steph was amazing, but Steph is always amazing, even when he doesn’t score 36 points," Head Coach Steve Kerr said. "The attention he draws defensively, what he does to an opposing defense, the way he opens up the floor. He’s a remarkable player and got himself going on a night when we needed it.”

Midway through the third quarter, the Warriors trailed the Boston Celtics, who owned the NBA's best record (20-5), by double digits in a game that they were once down by as many as 17 points. Standing at 6'6, Celtics' guard Jaylen Brown backed down 6'2 guard Stephen Curry in the post and finished strong through contact. That contact came from Curry, who drew his fifth personal foul with 6:17 remaining in the third quarter and Jaylen Brown subsequently hit him with the 'too small' celebration. At that point in the game, Curry had scored just 13 points and would spend the remainder of the quarter on the bench.

Despite risking fouling out if he picked up one more foul, Curry played the entire fourth quarter and overtime. The NBA leader in total clutch points (91) hit two clutch 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, with his second splash tying the score at 121 and sending the game into overtime. He matched his 13 points through three quarters in the fourth quarter and had seven more points in overtime, including the game-sealing splash with 10.6 seconds left. It was then time for Curry to celebrate, utilizing his signature 'Night Night' celebration, which he popularized in the 2022 NBA Playoffs in route to his fourth championship, fittingly against the Boston Celtics.

"Nothing shocks me with Steph," Head Coach Steve Kerr said, reflecting on Curry's rainbow dagger. "That shot was insane. But I fully expected it to go in and I think our fans did too. The guy’s magical. You can't explain it. It’s just the kind of stuff he does.”

Curry credited Chris Paul for his timely and accurate cross-court pass that allowed him to get the shot off before the shot clock expired.

"I saw him right as he got the ball and we kind of locked eyes," Curry said. "I was able to get my feet underneath me and then it was just a rhythm shot at that point. It was a heck of a play just knowing that we needed to get a shot up and he made the right decision."

Paul routinely made the right play all night, finishing with a game-high 12 assists and zero turnovers, becoming the only player with multiple games of at least 10 assists and zero turnovers off the bench this season.

Curry attributed his ability to play the final 17 minutes to his teammates, who were able to rise to the occasion defensively to ensure that he didn't foul out. While the Celtics still hunted switches to bait him into his sixth foul, the Warriors sent traps and double teams at Curry's man, utilizing a help and recover defensive scheme.

"When somebody's in foul trouble, it puts pressure on everybody else," Curry said. "I can't reach or give up a dumb foul, but everybody else must also be aware. They’re going to have to help and we have to rotate around. I had to play smart but credit everybody else for stepping up and having my back."

Trayce Jackson-Davis stood out in those defensive efforts, grabbing a game-high 13 rebounds and tying a game-high in blocks (3).

"There were several huge plays, obviously Steph’s (Curry) shot probably being number one, but also Trayce’s block on Jaylen Brown," Kerr said, highlighting the rookie meeting Jaylen Brown at the rim for an overtime block to protect a four-point lead. "Trayce was the guy who shifted everything, plus-25 in his minutes."

Curry was the head of the snake down the stretch, but Klay Thompson also set an early tone, with 10 points in the first quarter and a pair of clutch 3-pointers in the fourth quarter. The Splash Brothers combined for 12 3-pointers, six each.

"That's the type of win we needed to show ourselves what we can be," Curry said after the Dubs secured their largest comeback win of the season. "We have to keep putting it together, but team effort, baby, we needed that."

Jonathan Kuminga closed the final 17 minutes of Wednesday's 110-106 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers and his production down the stretch was vital in the Warriors' double-digit comeback.

After playing zero minutes in the first half, Kuminga subbed in with 4:45 remaining in the third quarter. Immediately, the Warriors went on a 10-0 run and Kuminga made his mark on both ends of the floor, stealing a Matisse Thybulle bounce pass and finishing with a break-away dunk on the other end. The third-year forward led the team with two steals.

"We are the young guys; we're supposed to help our team bring energy," Kuminga said.

Head Coach Steve Kerr highlighted the forward's length and athleticism being a good matchup against the Trail Blazers' front line.

"He was the key to the game," Kerr said. "We obviously needed him; the game called for JK [Jonathan Kuminga], just with Portland’s youth and athleticism. We needed to be able to match that and be able to score against their switches. I was so happy for JK that he stayed ready, came in and produced the way he did.”

Kuminga scored 13 points in the contest, his 13th game this season in double-figures and was a game-high plus-13. He shot a perfect 6-for-6 from the field. Three of his field goals were dunks, including an alley-oop slam with 1:03 remaining.

"JK [Jonathan Kuminga] showed a great deal of professionalism," Chris Paul said postgame. "Not playing early and coming in, he changed the whole game."

“If he doesn’t do what he did, stay ready, show maturity, we lose this game,” Stephen Curry said.

Seeing Kuminga take advantage of a favorable matchup and turn the game's tide, Coach Kerr believes the team may have to take a more matchup-based approach to their rotation moving forward.

"What we need each night seems to be different depending on the matchup and how the game’s going," Kerr said. "It’s hard to predict what will happen each night."

Regardless of his role moving forward, Kuminga always plans to stay ready.

"I am always ready, so anytime my name is called, I am a professional," Kuminga said. "I know my job and all that matters is to go out there and finish the job.”

Saric's play has risen to the occasion as he's nearly doubled his points per game compared to other regular season games while increasing his efficiency across the board.

During this tournament, Saric has averaged 20.3 points per game on 54.3 percent from the field, 44.0 percent from three and a perfect 100 percent from the foul line. Among players averaging at least 20 points per game, Saric is accomplishing that feat in the fewest minutes per game (26.1 MPG) and taking the fewest field goal attempts per game (11.7 FGA).&nbsp;He is one of three frontcourt players to average 20-plus points per game on at least 50-40-90 shooting splits in the tournament, joining Karl-Anthony Towns and Tobias Harris. When removing the free throw percentage from the criteria, the list only grows to nine players, adding stars like Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Jimmy Butler, Zion Williamson and Giannis Antetokounmpo, along with a two-way stretch big in Brook Lopez.

"I feel confident, I feel great playing with these guys,” Saric said early in his tenure with the Warriors. "I’m really enjoying playing here…all five guys are dangerous to get a bucket, so for me, it’s easy.”

Before the season, Head Coach Steve Kerr referred to the Warriors as having "six starters," highlighting the five starters from last season and 12-time All-Star Chris Paul, who had started in every game of his career. After those six, Saric has played the most minutes per game (21.7 MPG) and made the most starts (3). Saric ranks fifth on the team in scoring (10.8 PPG), second in rebounding (6.4 RPG) and third in made 3-pointers per game (1.6 3PM).

"We expected to play him a lot because he's such a great fit," Kerr said. "Dario changes the chess board with his pick-and-pop and ability to stretch the floor.”

Saric Caps 20-8 Second Quarter Run

When talking to General Manager Mike Dunleavy before the season, Kerr recalls a conversation about getting a veteran floor spacer like they had in their 2022 championship run.

“Mike [Dunleavy] decided that we needed to be more experienced and to add someone like Dario [Šarić]," Kerr said. "Like when we had Belli [Nemanja Bjelica] and Otto Porter [Jr.]. Dario fills a really important role.”

The big man has thrived since coming to the Bay and can attempt to keep his 20-point tournament streak alive in Sacramento for the final game of group play on Tuesday.

Brandin Podziemski played 38 minutes and was a plus-11 in Tuesday's In-Season Tournament game, with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green combining to play less than five minutes.

Just seven games into his NBA career, Podziemski eclipsed his previous career high in the first quarter of the Warriors' 104-101 loss to the Timberwolves. He scored nine points in the first quarter, besting the eight points he scored in under two minutes against the same opponent just two days prior. The Warriors were without their leading scorer, Stephen Curry, due to right knee soreness and lost veterans Klay Thompson and Draymond Green to ejection before a single point was scored in the game.

Podziemski finished with a team-high 23 points on 9-for-16 shooting (50 FG%) and 3-for-8 from behind the arc (37.5 3PT%). He paced the team with five assists and was tied for second in rebounds (7).

Podziemski and Saric became the first Warriors duo to score more than 20 points in the same game this season. Missing the NBA's leader in total points scored heading into Tuesday's contest, the rookie understood that the Warriors needed an additional scoring boost.

“I think it was what the game called for," Podziemski said. "In some games, I will get one shot, and in some games, I will get 18 like I did tonight. Whatever the game calls for and it's about taking the right shots."

Player Spotlight: Podziemski Earning His Stripes

Stephen Curry ensured that the Warriors got off to the right start on the road, eclipsing 40 points in two of the team's first three road games. Through four games, Curry leads the league in total points scored (134) and is the first player to record multiple 40-point games this season, scoring 41 points on 14-for-19 shooting with seven made threes against the Sacramento Kings last Friday and 42 points on 15-for-22 shooting, again making seven 3-pointers against the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday. He set an NBA record for made threes through four games with 24 triples, averaging six made threes per contest.

“We talked about it before the season; getting off to a good start (on the road) was a big deal,” Curry said following the victory over the Rockets.

The Warriors got off to the best possible start, winning each of their first three road games — the Dubs never won three consecutive away games in the entire 2022-23 season and didn't win their first road game until Nov. 20.

Michael Jordan is the only player with more 40-point games (44) since his 30th birthday than Curry (34).

Curry is currently averaging more points per game (33.5) than minutes per game (31.8). He has the highest true shooting percentage among players averaging at least 20 points per game (75.8 TS%).

Even in the lone road game he didn't score 40-plus points in, Curry diced up the Rockets defense and closed the game with four 3-pointers in the final 5:15.
