Warriors To Host Stop Fraud Night on Sunday, March 26

The Golden State Warriors will host Stop Fraud Night on Sunday, March 26 when the club hosts the Memphis Grizzlies at Oracle Arena (5:00 p.m.), it was announced today. Stop Fraud Night will highlight the organization’s continuing efforts to warn fans about the potential dangers of purchasing fraudulent single-game tickets from a non-verified third party. The Warriors, who have seen over 1,000 fans denied access to Oracle Arena due to counterfeit tickets during the 2017-18 season including 58 fans denied access at the team’s home game against the Boston Celtics on March 8, will host a group of fans at Sunday’s game who have previously been denied access to Oracle Arena during the 2016-17 season due to unknowingly purchasing fraudulent tickets. Fans are invited to a pre-game Q&A with NBA Legend Jerry West and have the opportunity to watch the Warriors in the EFFEN Vodka Penthouse suite for the entire game.

Included among the group of victimized fans invited will be Snellville, Georgia natives Isaiah Simpson and his mother, Alexandra McDonald. Isaiah and his mother were recently denied access to Philips Arena in Atlanta after purchasing fraudulent tickets from a third party vendor for the Warriors game against the Hawks on Monday, March 6. Isaiah and his mother will fly to the Bay Area, courtesy of United Airlines, where the Warriors will host the family at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel in San Francisco and provide them with floor seats to the game on Sunday. In addition, Isaiah’s favorite player, back-to-back NBA MVP guard Stephen Curry, and Under Armour are providing Isaiah and Alexa shoes and additional Under Armour gifts. Ticketmaster is also providing Isaiah and his mother with a $500 gift card to use on Ticketmaster.com with the peace of mind of purchasing verified tickets that are guaranteed to get them in to every event.

The Warriors will provide the Stop Fraud Night attendees with special Stop Fraud Night T-shirts which includes “Stop Fraud Night” on the front, with “Be like the Andersons… Not disappointed like the Simpsons” on the back of the t-shirts. The “Be like the Andersons…” stems from the NBA’s “The Andersons Got Tickets to the Game” television commercial (available here).
