Warriors To Host Social Media Night Presented By Esurance February 20 Against Houston Rockets
Players To Wear Shooting Shirts With Personal Twitter Handle, Warriors Instagram Wall Officially Unveiled, Facebook Check-In Deal For First 3,000 Fans
The Golden State Warriors and Esurance announced today that the team’s annual Social Media Night will take place on Thursday, February 20 during their game against the Houston Rockets. After becoming the first team in the NBA to have players wear shooting shirts featuring their personal Twitter handles as part of last season’s Social Media Night, Warriors players will once again don these shirts prior to Thursday’s game. Fans will also have the opportunity to wear the one-of-a-kind shirts, as they will be available for purchase at the Warriors Team Store and warriorsteamstore.com.
The Warriors will also use Social Media Night to officially unveil the team’s new Instagram Wall at Oracle Arena – located on the main concourse outside of Section 124. The new, interactive digital display features fan, player and team Instagram photos featuring the hashtags #WarriorsGround, #DubNation and #LetsGoWarriors – all updated in real time. Additionally, in an effort to engage with fans on a variety of social media platforms throughout the night, other elements of Social Media Night will include:
- First 3,000 fans who “check in” to Golden State Warriors Home Game on Facebook will receive a Warriors shooting shirt rally towel
- Instagram scavenger hunt
- Fan tweets featured on the arena scoreboard
- Warriors App/Pogoseat mobile seat upgrade contests
