Warriors Basketball Camps Tip Off 2013 Summer Schedule On June 10
Warriors Will Host 20 Camp Sessions In 16 Locations Including Warriors Practice Facility and Kaiser Permanente Arena
The Golden State Warriors today announced the 2013 summer schedule for Warriors Basketball Camp. The summer schedule features 20 sessions at 16 different locations throughout the Bay Area, including four camps at the Warriors Practice Facility in Downtown Oakland. Over 24,000 youth have attended Warriors Basketball Camp since its inception in the summer of 2000.
The summer schedule is highlighted by 17 week-long general sessions, which focus on individual skill development, the importance of fundamentals and the development of a healthy team attitude for boys and girls, ages 7-15, of all skill levels and abilities. The general sessions will be held in Oakland, San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Rosa, Santa Cruz, Los Altos Hills, Newark, Saratoga, Napa, Livermore, Larkspur, Walnut Creek and San Ramon.
In addition to the general sessions, Warriors Basketball Camp will hold a special edition Stephen Curry Overnight Camp at the Stevenson School in Pebble Beach on August 17-20. The Warriors guard will be present at this sold-out camp session and conduct lectures, interact with campers, demonstrate his personal workout routine and more.
The staff at Warriors Basketball Camp consists of current high school and college coaches, as well as current and former local college players. Many sessions of Warriors Basketball Camp also feature appearances by current and former Warriors players and coaches. In the past year alone, appearances have been made by Warriors players Andrew Bogut, Carl Landry, Kent Bazemore, Andris Biedrins and Richard Jefferson, as well as General Manager Bob Myers.
