Warriors to Complete Twitter Takeover Series with Twitter Takeover Night on March 30
Season-long Series Concludes With Josh Reddick, Jason Demers, MC Hammer And One Lucky Fan Taking Over @Warriors Account For Entire Game

The Golden State Warriors will complete their season-long Twitter Takeover Series by hosting a Twitter Takeover Night on Sunday, March 30 against the New York Knicks, featuring local athletes, celebrities and one lucky fan taking over the team’s official account – @warriors - throughout the entire game, the team announced today. The takeover will feature Oakland Athletics right fielder Josh Reddick (@joshreddick16), San Jose Sharks defenseman Jason Demers (@jasondemers5), entertainer & Bay Area native MC Hammer (@MCHammer) and one lucky fan who will be chosen through a contest on warriors.com and Twitter. Each participant will provide a unique perspective of the game as it’s unfolding, while also interacting with fans who tweet or reply to @warriors on Twitter.

Throughout the 2013-14 season, the Warriors have hosted a player from each of the major Bay Area professional sports teams - including the San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, San Francisco Giants, Santa Cruz Warriors and after Sunday, the San Jose Sharks and Oakland Athletics - to manage the @warriors Twitter account. To conclude the series, the team has invited the legendary entertainer and noted Warriors fan MC Hammer, as well as one lucky fan, to represent #DubNation on a night that will truly celebrate the spirit of basketball in the Bay Area.

Earlier this season, San Francisco 49ers All-Pro left tackle Joe Staley participated in the Warriors first Twitter Takeover during the first quarter of the team’s preseason game on October 7; San Francisco Giants All-Star closer Sergio Romo took over @warriors during the second quarter of the Warriors win over the Los Angeles Clippers on January 30; Oakland Raiders punter Marquette King and wide receiver Rod Streater took part in a takeover during the second quarter of the Warriors win over the Brooklyn Nets on February 22; on March 9 Santa Cruz Warriors players Seth Curry and Mychel Thompson, brothers of Warriors guard Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, took over the Warriors official account during a win against the Phoenix Suns; and on August 25, 2013, Warriors forward Andre Iguodala and supermodel/actress Marisa Miller hosted a dual Twitter Takeover of the San Francisco 49ers official Twitter account during the team’s Sunday Night Football game against the Minnesota Vikings.
