Sergio Romo Twitter Takeover

The Golden State Warriors announced today that San Francisco Giants All-Star Closer Sergio Romo will participate in a Twitter takeover of the team’s official account – @warriors – during the second quarter of the Warriors nationally televised game versus the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday, January 30. During the takeover, Romo – @SergioRomo54 – will offer his unique perspective of the game as its unfolding, while also interacting with fans who tweet or reply to @warriors on Twitter.

Throughout the 2013-14 season, the Warriors will host a player from each of the major Bay Area professional sports teams including the Oakland Athletics, Oakland Raiders, San Francisco Giants and San Jose Sharks to manage the @warriors Twitter account. The team’s official Twitter account is a great way for fans to experience behind-the-scenes access, original content and events throughout the 2013-14 season.

Earlier this season, San Francisco 49ers All-Pro left tackle Joe Staley participated in the Warriors first Twitter Takeover during the first quarter of the team’s preseason game on October 7 against the Sacramento Kings. On August 25, 2013, Warriors forward Andre Iguodala and supermodel/actress Marisa Miller hosted a dual Twitter Takeover of the San Francisco 49ers official Twitter account during the team’s Sunday Night Football game against the Minnesota Vikings.
