The world of entertainment lost a true icon today with the passing of Prince. Warriors Owner Joe Lacob, who sat courtside with Prince at a Warriors game on March 3, had the following statement upon hearing the tragic news.
“I was shocked and saddened to hear the news of Prince’s death today, especially after hosting him at a game recently at Oracle Arena,” said Warriors Owner Joe Lacob. “That night was a real honor for me and, looking back, he appeared to be doing well and was in great spirits. From everyone in the Warriors’ organization, our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and millions of fans during this difficult time. We lost a true icon in the entertainment business.”
