Warriors to Host Filipino Heritage Night, Presented by Cache Creek Casino Resort, Friday, November 21 Against Utah Jazz

The Golden State Warriors are hosting Filipino Heritage Night, presented by Cache Creek Casino Resort, on Friday, November 21 against the Utah Jazz at Oracle Arena (7:30 p.m.), the team announced today. A portion of the proceeds from each Filipino Heritage Night ticket sold will be donated back to support local Filipino organizations throughout the Bay Area.

A limited number of tickets remain for the seventh-annual Filipino Heritage Night, presented by Cache Creek. Fans who purchase a special event night ticket will secure a seat in the Filipino Heritage Night section and receive a commemorative Filipino Heritage Night t-shirt. Oracle Arena will also feature unique cultural entertainment throughout the evening and Filipino cuisine at designated concession stands. As part of the celebration, the Warriors will host a Filipino Heritage Night pregame tailgate, featuring popular Off The Grid food trucks Senior Sisig, Cluck it Up and Five-Ten Burger as well as a live DJ from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. The Warriors Community Foundation will also hold a silent auction for Manny Pacquiao autographed items during the pregame tailgate, allowing fans to bid on Pacquiao’s signed gloves, autographed photos and Filipino Heritage Night hats. Fans who purchase a special event ticket to Filipino Heritage Night will also have the opportunity to attend a meet-and-greet with UFC mixed martial artist and Filipino-American Mark Muñoz. The meet-and-greet will take place pregame starting at 4:30 p.m. in Parking Lot A outside of Oracle Arena.

The Warriors will also host Ellona Santiago, a contestant on the first and third seasons of The X Factor and a native of the Philippines, who will sing the national anthem for Friday night’s game. The 18-year old singer was born in Cavite City, Philippines, and is currently a resident of San Lorenzo, California and is a member of San Leandro’s Our Lady of Good Council Children’s Church Choir.

Tickets for Saturday’s Filipino Heritage Night are limited, but tickets are available for a second Filipino Heritage Night on Friday, March 6, 2014 against the Dallas Mavericks. Fans who purchase a special event ticket will receive a commemorative Filipino Heritage Night hat and enjoy unique cultural entertainment.
