Warriors Host Filipino Heritage Night, Presented By Cache Creek Casino Resort, on Saturday, November 16 Against Utah Jazz
First Of Two Filipino Heritage Game Nights This Season; Second Filipino Heritage Night On Friday, March 7;Warriors To Hold Fundraising Efforts For Victims Affected By Super Typhoon Haiyan In The Philippines
The Golden State Warriors are hosting Filipino Heritage Night, presented by Cache Creek Casino Resort, on Saturday, November 16 against the Utah Jazz at Oracle Arena (7:30 p.m.), the team announced today. This will be the sixth consecutive season the Warriors will celebrate Filipino Heritage Night and the first of two Filipino Heritage Nights the team will hold at Oracle Arena this season. The second event will be held on Friday, March 7 against the Atlanta Hawks. The Warriors are also hosting fundraising efforts during Saturday’s game to benefit victims of the Super Typhoon Haiyan that struck the island of the Philippines on November 8.
Fans interested in aiding victims of Super Typhoon Haiyan are encouraged to donate to Red Cross representatives at Oracle Arena on the concourse level and at the East, North, South, Plaza, F-Lot and Valet entrances. Fans are also encouraged to text RELIEF to 864233 to donate $10 to UNICEF USA to help support UNICEF’s efforts in the region. The Warriors will also sell an adidas Filipino Heritage t-shirt as the item of the game and on WarriorsTeamStore.com, where 10% of every purchase of the adidas Filipino Heritage t-shirt will support Doctors Without Borders, helping people affected by the typhoon. Filipino Heritage Night festivities on Saturday include a pre-game martial arts demonstration by the Eskabo Daan club of San Francisco as well as halftime music and dance performances by the American Center of Philippine Arts. Fans who purchased a special event ticket will also receive a limited edition Filipino Heritage Night t-shirt, courtesy of Cache Creek Casino Resort.
Tickets for Saturday’s Filipino Heritage Night are sold out, but tickets are available for a second Filipino Heritage Night on Friday, March 7, 2014 against the Atlanta Hawks. Fans who purchase a special event ticket will receive a commemorative Filipino Heritage Night hat and enjoy unique cultural entertainment. Groups of 15 or more are also eligible for additional savings and benefits.
